is the popular young miller. He is smart, energetic and liked by everyone.

is one of Kappa's oldest settlers, and with his wife and family are much esteemed by their friends.
WADE SHOEMAKER
and his wife and interesting family are much respected by all Kappa people. Mr. Shoemaker is a storekeeper and a successful one.
GEORGE STAHL
is a popular storekeeper. He is prosperous and would be happy if he would only get married.
MR. AND MRS. MIKE CROWE
are young folks, but they have lived at Kappa most all of their lives. They are a popular young couple and are well thought of.
THE ERSKINE BROTHERS
are prosperous and energetic young farmers and as soon as they get married will be joyful and happy.

lives at the depot with his wife and family. He is the agent and operator and is a pleasant and agreeable gentleman.
