Bourbon Brownies

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cups sugar
2/3 cup butter
¼ cup water
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
3 large eggs
1 ½ cups copped walnuts or pecans
3 tablespoons bourbon
1 can ready-to-spread vanilla frosting
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon Crisco
Sift first three ingredients, set aside. Combine sugar, butter and water in saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour mixture and then nuts.
Spread in greased 10”x14” pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 or 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with bourbon. Cool completely.
Spread vanilla frosting evenly over brownies. Chill 30 minutes.
Melt together 1 cup chocolate chips and Crisco, stirring constantly, until smooth. Drizzle back and forth over vanilla frosting or spread thinly over vanilla frosting. Chill until set.
